Members of Parliament have advocated reforming the BBC's licence fee. They suggest reducing expenses and extending funding to cover areas outside of television. MPs also suggest scrapping the BBC's charter review and halting the broadcaster from undercutting commercial rivals for overseas shows. The proposals aim to address the BBC's funding issues as it faces a important juncture. The recommendations come amid continuous debates about the broadcaster's future direction.
