Daniel Tupou has retired from the NRL just days after the Sydney Roosters won the title. The winger leaves the sport as a four-time premiership winner, all earned with the Roosters, having never played for another NRL club.
The Roosters said they were "lost for words" at his departure. Tupou's whole playing life was spent in red, white and blue, making him one of the most dedicated one-club men in the competition's recent memory.
