FDNY fire marshals are looking into a suspicious fire that needed three alarms. It swept through a blocks-long scrapyard in Staten Island. The site was at Rector Street and Castleton Avenue. Dramatic videos were posted online, capturing flames and smoke climbing high above the site.
In a separate event, a fire occurred at an autobody shop in Staten Island. Fire marshals have not stated whether these two incidents are connected. No additional details have been released as yet.
