Iran states that the Strait of Hormuz remains blocked to maritime ships. The waterway is completely shut. Iran and Oman are currently drafting a deal for a protected sea lane. Oman called the talks constructive. At the same time, the United States is holding off on extra penalties connected with the conflict.
Iran also released a blacklist for petroleum vessels in Gulf waters. This list creates fresh hazards for moving crude across the region. Moving oil remains risky now. Iran and Oman keep talking about maritime corridors. Even so, Iran reiterates that the Strait stays closed.
