A beluga whale was relocated from Marineland in Niagara Falls, Ontario to a Chicago aquarium. It died a short time later. The move was completed before the death.
Marineland also sent four dolphins and two belugas to an aquarium in Spain. Now the park has no dolphins left. Only belugas stay at the park.
The transfer left the grounds much quieter. Staff check water and health. Visitors observe significantly fewer animals. The park’s visitor count dropped.
The wooded surroundings have not changed. The water remains strong. The park retains a small number of belugas. Visitors see fewer animal performances. The water remains clear.
