Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and sailors serving aboard the USS Tripoli returned to the United States on Wednesday. They concluded tours assigned to the 5th and 7th Fleets. Meanwhile, many Marines and sailors stationed in Okinawa arrived back in Japan after missions connected with the Iran situation. The Tripoli docked at its home port in Okinawa, concluding its deployment. The U.S. Marines and the Royal Australian Air Force wrapped up joint drills at Dyess under the Trident Fury program this week. In Vancouver, the police marine unit freed a seven-day-old seal pup that was found by itself.
