Bandai Namco unveiled the Mobile Suit Gundam RG model and the RG Project vision on July 23, 2026. Filmmaker Kenji Kamiyama is set to direct for the upcoming anime, planned to premiere in 2027. The project creates a brand-new Gundam universe, entirely distinct from prior lore. The XARX-ZERO is tied to the forthcoming Gundam Rogue Orbit project. Kamiyama is working to build a original timeline for the franchise.
