Dan Stevens' new thriller 'Onslaught' debuted over the weekend and sold almost no tickets. The New York Times wrote it was 'too much and not enough.' The film was unable to dethrone 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' from the top spot. That film has led the box office for six straight weekends.
Stevens told the Hollywood Reporter that 'Onslaught' ties to his 2014 movie 'The Guest.' That connection did not pull enough viewers in to change the outcome.
