The NFL is phasing out the annual Pro Bowl match after 75 years. The league is ending the on-field contest, but star players will continue to be recognized. Players will still be named as Pro Bowlers to earn their yearly recognition.
Player honors will remain intact despite the cancellation of the event. However, alternates will no longer be selected by the league. The ruling concludes the 75 year history of the yearly event, but top players will continue getting their official Pro Bowl accolades each season.
