Su-57D: Russia Says It Will Fly Combat AI - MiGFlug

Latest News About Russia plans combat AI for two-seat Su-57 fighter

Russia has announced that its two-seat Su-57 jet will fly with onboard combat AI. Russia labeled this new twin-seat variant the Su-57D. Defense officials developed the plane to counter Western fifth-generation fighters. However, the Russian fleet of Su-57 jets remains modest.

At the same time, a small European country currently flies twice as many fifth-generation fighters as Russia. The difference in fleet size exists despite Russian efforts to install combat AI systems into the Su-57D. Simple Flying and MiGFlug highlighted the small fleet size alongside the planned artificial intelligence features.
