A separate ruling from another court suddenly changed the Haiti TPS expiration date to Monday. Rep. Carlos Gimenez from Florida made his position clear. He publicly urged protection for thousands. That support matters because health staff in Florida stand to lose jobs without a decision. On another front U.S. State Department officials repeatedly stated Haiti remains dangerous for returns right now.
