Liberal MP Andrew Hastie has labelled One Nation senators "lying cowards" and hit out at Pauline Hanson and Barnaby Joyce over a cartoon portraying him as a "traitor". He delivered the remarks during a doorstop appearance in Canberra on Wednesday.
The remarks added to his public dispute with One Nation. The dispute centres on the cartoon and the criticism directed at Hanson and Joyce. Hastie challenged Hanson over it. He also stepped up his attacks on One Nation senators during the Canberra appearance. The accusation remains the central issue of the dispute.
