Andy Burnham ends restrictions on disabled people's bus passes in England. Disabled bus pass holders receive unlimited free travel starting from next April. Previously complimentary bus use ran from 9.30am to 11pm on weekdays. At the moment, disabled pass users can only journey without cost from 9.30am to 11pm on weekdays.
The change forms part of state initiatives to ease the cost of living crisis and applies to people with 7 health conditions. Disabled people in England will receive 24-hour free bus travel. Disabled passengers will get no-cost bus rides every day starting from next April.
