Jacob Coxon, alignment lead at Anthropic, has resigned. He issued a warning that artificial intelligence carries serious risks.
Coxon stated there is more than a 10 percent chance that AI could cause all humans to die by the next decade. He characterised ongoing AI development as gambling with human lives.
Coxon also called the technology beyond control. His departure has drawn attention. The resignation comes after his warnings about grave AI risks.
Evan Hubinger, also a colleague at Anthropic, has also been noted.
